Poinsettias \u2013 also known as the Christmas Star \u2013 are ideal for use as floral table decorations: With their colourful, star-shaped bracts, they add vibrant touches, can be arranged in many different ways, and bring a touch of natural festive cheer to the table. Whether your style is modern and minimalist, lush and opulent, or serene and natural, these popular winter plants offer numerous design possibilities. Airy and contemporary with white poinsettias<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you like the light, modern look, a minimalist table setting with clean lines and a few carefully chosen pieces is ideal. White poinsettias look elegant combined with glass, cool petrol blue tones and simple shapes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here, cut poinsettias are arranged in a white designer bowl of stylised floral shapes. Glossy white and petrol blue baubles in the bowl act as vases for the individual stems.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

This idea is echoed in the place settings, where more decorations, filled with cut poinsettia stems provide stylish touches. A crystal vase containing pussy willow (Salix<\/em>) and additional cut poinsettia stems adds height to the centre of the table. Together with the crystal glassware and matching tableware, they create a light, modern winter table setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tip: To make cut poinsettias last longer, you need to stop their milky sap flowing. Immediately after cutting the stems, immerse them in hot water (around 60\u00b0C\/140\u00b0F) for about five seconds, then place them immediately in cold water. Kept in fresh water, cut poinsettias will stay fresh and beautiful for up to two weeks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
